Welcome to our FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) Section. In this section we try to cover all issues you might experience while browing our website, aswell as other questions that might popup in your mind. > WHO WE ARE!
We are just a bunch of ordinary people trying to bring a lot of important information, wich is already spread out there in the world wide web, together into one big project, to be able to deliver you a great opportunity of selfeducation and information sharing. We are not forcing you to see the “truth”… All we want to reach is an educated mass. People tend to believe everything straight off… There is no information out there wich you should take for granted without asking yourself questions! So… all we do is creating lots of space for questions and answers, although you have to give most answers to yourself… wich should be easy for you as you seem to be on the proper way already.
> WHAT ABOUT COPYRIGHT LAWS?
All we do is linking. We embed documentaries through various hosters like google, youtube, … They handle all copyright issues. So theres no space for us to break any (DMCA) rules. We DO NOT own any copyrights on the content our members / editors link to. If you feel there is a movie / documentary / interview / lecture / … online wich should be removed cause of copyright issues, please contact the specific hosting partner or use our contact form to send us a message.
Most documentary producers are happy to see their work beeing spread throughout the entire web, as most of them will never, appear in television / cinema. Just see for yourself or take this one as granted ;)
> WHERE YOU SHOULD START!
Well… that really depends on your very own perspective. The best start would be to browse through our categories, find a subject you are interested in and just start watching your free doku streams! Searching for Tags and Keywords might be another option. You will find the most related posts to the one you are watching in every single article… making it easy for you to get deeper into that specific subject.
> WHY IS VIDEO XYZ NOT WORKING?
This could be caused by a handfull of reasons. One, the most common one, could be that your flashplayer is either outdated or not installed at all. If so please follow the instructions on http://www.adobe.com/flashplayer and install the latest version of the Adobe Flashplayer (free). All of the docu streams / players rely on this technology, so theres no way around it! If you don´t have admin rights on your computer, ask any sysadmin around you to fix it!
> WHY IS VIDEO XYZ NOT STREAMING PROPERLY?
This can be caused by many factors. The most common reason is that your internet connection speed is too low, in this case we recommend that you click on pause (when already bwrowsing some specific article, right after you clicked play) and wait for the video cache to get filled up. This should work always. If it does not work this way you can either try at a later time or email us so we can find a better source for the video.
> THERE IS A DOCUMENTARY STREAM MISSING!
You feel that we should add something? Just send us the link to the documentary you´d like to see getting added to our database. We can´t add every single great documentary out there, freetime is short, we also simply don´t know them all. Help is appreaciated there! Keep in mind, we just started in november 09, many documentary streams will follow soon!
